Today's game thread video is dedicated to Ryan Langerhans, who must be destroyed!
Okay, here's what I think is going to happen. I have no contact information at Braves.net anymore; the guy currently in charge has never contacted me. I'm going to be moving the site to a new service ASAP; I have a couple of possibilities. At any rate, it will be on WordPress still and I have everything archived through a week ago today. I probably won't be able to save anything after that except the posts. Everyone may or may not have to re-register; I've never done this before.
Anyway, we're going to be on Blogspot for the next few days.

Can we try and destroy Mark Redman as well. Last night notwithstanding. I break out in hives whenever he steps on the mound. He is like a plague.

I've never really understood why everyone hates the 7:35 start time so much. As someone who has lived in Atlanta for most of his life, I can tell you that it is physically impossible to get from work to the ballpark by 7:00. Especially if you have to go home and change or pick up the kids or whatever. It's just not possible. So you assure that you will have a completely empty park for 45 minutes if you do this.
If you want a real-life example, not just a theoretical one, the Thrashers start their games at 7 p.m., and the exact scenario which I laid out happens. So you wind up depriving your fans of a period of hockey (or two or three innings of baseball, if the Braves do it). What sense does that make?
And the reason given for changing it, of course, is the beloved children. Well honestly, what difference does a half-hour make? You or your child can't stay up an extra half-hour?
Don't mean to jump all over you mr. swings. But just the seemingly universal idea that a 7 p.m. start time would be better puzzles me to no end. A 7:30 start time is actually better for the fans.
Mac, I just added you to my blogroll. So, you know, if you notice two or three new IP addresses coming to your site, well, they're probably my adoring public. At least, I hope I have an adoring public. It would be awesome.
I work 2nd shift, 2PM-11PM. By 7PM, everyone but me has left. At that point I am ready to listen to the game. That is why I don't like 7:35 games. The park is going to be half empty no matter what the start time is unless we're playing the Mets or Cubs.
I certainly don't want to be on the side of people whose sole justification is "the children" so maybe I will reconsider my stance.

Langerhans is so bad it's comical. I'm almost rooting for him to not get hits just to see how low he can go before getting benched.
Langerhans should be in the Mets lineup when they open Shiti Field in NY.
Metsblog DOES post comments from an opposing fan before a series with that fan's team. They used comments from Mac before the last Braves/Mets series. This time they used some other guy whose "arrogance" has apparently angered the commenters over there. Pretty amusing stuff.
