Hmm. I'm not a fan of the "Langerhans must be destroyed." I don't want him destroyed just replaced.
I love U2. Love them.
I love them too. I enjoyed hearing Bono talk about this song on the HBO special he did with The Edge.
But back to the Braves, I must say I think Kelly Johnson is impressing me to no end. He is one of those guys who isn't a typical one hole guy, but he just works there. That was something I never thought Giles got a hang of.
On the Reyes bunt, you know, I think Craig Wilson's gotta catch that throw from Chuckie. He looked like Delgado out there.
This has to be a joke, Perez is known for having bad control, and the braves are just getting outs after outs on 1 or 2 pitches
How is it that the Braves can make this replacement level headcase look like Sandy Friggin' Koufax every single time they face him? Unreal.

Recap will probably be somewhat late today. Not because this game is depressing, though it is. Why are the Mets allowed to bring in Johan Santana in an Oliver Perez mask to pitch against us?

So was it a blessing that my dorm doesn't get the "new" Turner South?
Well, that sucked.
Oliver Perez is the new Jack Fimple--i.e., an otherwise marginal player who kills Atlanta.
Nonetheless, we're gonna have some games like this vs. NYM, so tomorrow let's see Smoltz lock up another series & vault us back into first.

My gal & I sat next to a Braves/Mets couple---him from Long Island, her from Montgomery (an Auburn grad). Despite my UGA cap, we bonded over Hudson, who was born in my hometown. After Huddy's double, I looked at her and we both shouted: "War Eagle!"
Referring to Chipper, this same quote was overheard from 3 different Met fans in 3 different places: "I hate him!"
What Reggie Miller was to the Knicks, Chipper Jones is to the Mets.
Pena's really impressing in KC (with his defense). I think that was a good deal for them, even though they were really laughed at for it at the time.
